How blessed am I? I got to spend part of my morning with this sweet girl! (--I don't mean to be bragging, but how can I not?!) She is a gem of a girl: smiley, sweet, curious, mild-mannered and then there are the baby blues! Even though I am so busy I could almost cry, I HAD to take a few minutes to share some of these images. These should definitely add to your Christmas cheer.
Is Christmas really just around the corner? It seems like my kids were just picking bluebells! I love this time of year ~ the thought of entertaining, (whether I actually DO it or not), taking the time to think about what would really please loved friends, nieces and nephews, smelling the spiced apple and peppermint lattes....mmmm, baking my family's favorite treats, and remembering the greatest gift God has given us in a special way.
It's also such a great time to get in touch with loved ones that we may only make contact with once a year. I love watching my cousins' kids grow up in the photos that they send to me each Christmas, and hearing about what's new in the lives of my high school friends. And I love sharing my life, and photos of my kids. Huh....photos of my kids.....better get on that!
I have gathered and designed my card templates for the holidays. You can see more in a client gallery I set up on my website (password is cards). The cards are double-sided, 5x7 press-printed cards, on your choice of a variety of beautiful textures....these are not your run-of-the-mill cards. To me, they say you care. Some seniors just seem to have it all together. This one does. She has studied the Japanese language for years, is in the running start program and is a mature and poised young lady. It was such a pleasure to work with you, S! I really enjoyed it. Here are a few from the session today.

I am so honored to have been a part of this bride and groom's special day. The wedding was as beautiful as it could be! It didn't turn out exactly as planned, but the bride was SO gracious and accommodating, and carried on with a lovely ceremony and reception, albeit with a few changes. It was truly lovely, as you can see from the sneak peak of photos.

(It rained on my wedding day, in CALIFORNIA - where it never rains, and I've been VERY happily married for almost 12 years. I, personally, think it's a good omen.)
So, I've been secretly wanting to photograph these kids for a while now. Yep, L, now you know. I was so excited to get the chance. I've gotten to know them all a bit and love them dearly. One of the best things about my position is being able to interact with the cutest things on Earth. I don't think I could ever get tired of kids...never, not ever, in a million, trillion years! Thanks for the terrfic smiles, E, R, E and N! Here's a peak.......
Here's a sneak peek of a session I recently had with a new band in town. ....Not really. It's hard when friends get split up. This session was a celebration of friendship for a group of guys that will never be the same again. I am honored to be a part of preserving memories for you guys.
